The goal of the pilgrims today: Santiago de Compostela in Galicia, Spain
Hello! Today it´s holiday in most parts of Spain: Sant Jacob´s day! A day like today apostol Santiago was found and that´s way the cathedral. Actually Santiago, a city close to A Coruña is the goal of the pilgrims of the Saint Jacob´s way or El Camino de Santiago. Worth doing it!
A day like today smoke, incense is been throwing at the cathedral.Check it out: El Botafumeiro! For sure a religious experience!
Myself I have been living in Santiago for a few years while studying at Santiago University…a party city too!
Enjoy the “religious” experience and feelgood!

Right now I was preparing the last documents that I need to sign before tomorrow, because I’m going to go to meet my coordinator from my faculty in Santiago de Compostela before leaving!!
Talking about Santiago… the place where I studied until I moved to Italy last September! I’ve been there two days ago with some friends who came here to visit me from Finland! We met doing our Erasmus in Italy and we’re still in touch! Viva Erasmus friendship and Feelgood Womanhood!!!!
Well I took them to the Cathedral of Saint James and we were so lucky that we could see the Botafumeiro, an object that was used in the past to release incense in the Cathedral and leave a nice aroma because of the pilgrims who couldn’t take a shower during their way to Santiago! Cool!!!
Back in Coruña we visited a very nice park in “El monte de San Pedro” where we took a elevator that was a huge crystal ball from which you can see the ocean!! Pretty nice
The next day we went to visit the City Council in “Maria Pita” square!
And of course at night we went out
I’m going to miss my city… but I’m sure that we’ll have fun with Miss Lopez in Stockholm!!!
Now I need to sleep before starting my last days here…

Going shopping in A Coruña today and business meetings tomorrow
Hello amigos y amigas!. It feels so good in La Coruña, or A Coruña as many say specially those pro-Galicia nacionalist. Galicia is a region in the north west of Spain, with a beautiful green nature. Temperature here is normally very mild and rainy but I love it as it is so green. Galicia is part of the green Spain with Asturias, Cantabria, the Basque country. Did you know that Galicia, Basque country and Catalunya, all in the north of Spain where Barcelona is, have a very different culture from the rest of Spain with even our own language?. Galician language is closer to Portuguese and I´ve studied it at school too. I must say I love lifestyle in the north of Spain and I sincerely recommend it. You´ll love it!
My mother is from Galicia and my father was from Madrid so I feel from both places. Everytime I come to Oleiros, Galicia where I have my own place that I love, I enjoy going to Bastiagueiro or Santa Cruz beach even if it´s rainy, I´ll show it another day and of course I love doing shopping. It´s so great shopping here with Zara everywhere among many others shops like Serrano with me in a coat in the picture and malls. But first today I went to the hairdresser, nice! as you can see me the picture. I went to the mall, the famous El Corte Ingles, among others and of course I got in contact with some of my old friends getting ready to the big party this friday, New Years Eve!. Here in the picture with an old friend, Justo Grandal that as you can see he is in “love” with Germany and Berlin. Check out his t-shirt! Fun!
I´ll tell you why another day…
Tomorrow I´m going to Santiago de Compostela, the final goal of the pilgrims way and now thanks to my blog I am having a business meeting there. Cool!
Viva Miss Lopez´s blog everywhere in the world and Feelgood! FEELGOOD WOMANHOOD
More news coming soon…From Galicia, Spain with love to you!
The Way from Martin Sheen and Emilio Estevez’s tribute to Galicia, Spain
Hola amigos and amigas!
You know I was born in Galicia in the north of Spain (but I’m now living in Sweden) and I got really touched knowing that Martin Sheen and Emilio Estevez, Hollywood actors from USA, California have their roots in Galicia and they seem very proud too. Check Tur Galicia, you’ll love it!. From Santiago de Compostela, which coincided with the visit of the Pope, Martin Sheen and Emilio Estevez have come to Madrid to present The Way, a film which father and son have managed to gain the Jubilee after dealing with a film that manages to discover the beauty, emotion and spirituality of the Camino de Santiago, in Galicia. Their Spanish ancestry, the father of Martin Sheen and Emilio Estevez’s grandfather was a Galician immigrant, was what motivated them to make this film what they call “a love letter to Spain.
The Way is based on the story of a renowned ophthalmologist Californian widower who receives a call from France in which he reported that his son Daniel (Emilio Estevez) has died in a storm in the Pyrenees. Although the relationship with him was never good, though desolated Tom travels to France to find his son. There he discovers that Daniel began to do the Camino de Santiago and decide to do it. Emilio Estevez wrote this book not only as a filmmaker to pay tribute to his grandfather, but also to show his “Galician heart.” Emilio that lives on the outskirts of Los Angeles has a style and living habits very Spanish: “I’m gallego ” he said. Fun!
I look forward to seeing this new film, The Way! People say in Spain, you’ll find a Galician person even at the end of the world!
, though I think most of them are in the American continent…
Do the Pilgrims way you too and Feelgood! Viva Galicia!
Almodovar stars filming in Santiago de Compostela with the rain today
Hello!. As many of you, may have already noticed, I tell you stories about Galicia as I was born and grow up in this part of Spain, the green Spain. This part of Spain has a very similar landscape to Ireland and it rains a lot, and of course, it is not as warm as the rest of Spain. I invite you to go there!. Beaches and food are great too!. Here Almodovar today in Santiago de Compostela, Galicia in Spain.
This is exactly what happened today to the admired Spanish film director Pedro Almodovar. He starts filming with the rain!. The rain has been welcoming Pedro Almodóvar to Compostela land. Almodóvar has moved to Galicia to start filming his new movie, The skin I live, which await eleven weeks of intense filming. The eighteenth Almodóvar film has a budget of ten million and an exceptional cast headed by Antonio Banderas, Elena Anaya, Marisa Paredes, Jan Cornet and Roberto Alamo. The skin I live, inspired by the novel Tarantula by Thierry Jonquet, will not be shot entirely in Santiago de Compostela and the entire cast and the team will move to the Pazo de Oca, A Estrada, Madrid and Toledo as well. By the way, more about Almodovar film production in El Deseo.es
Most people just like the sun but not allways to me. There is something melancolic and romantic about the rain, don´t you agree?
I look fordward to seeing this new Almodovar film, I wish I was there!. Info about Galicia: Turgalicia
Get inspired by Almodovar. Enjoy late summer even if it rains and Feelgood
