Beauty is in the eye of the beholder
Hi everyone, MisterLopez here!
Yep, it’s been a while since I posted, I know. Coming up with something to write is not always easy, unless something spontaneous comes up, like today for instance. My main focus is the site itself after all, and not to spend time blogging. But I will throw up some text every now and then if I end up getting a spontaneous inspiration.
In any case, the site is still undergoing changes, albeit at a slow pace. There’s quite a lot of stuff that I need to learn still and a lot of it is sort of learned on-the-fly.
And now to fill this blog out some more: I noticed that I was briefly mentioned here, by MissLopez and it was a bit of a laugh. I do not indeed look like Mr. Ronaldo – perhaps it’s a good thing too cause my personality would definitely not fit such a look. I am one who don’t care much for “ideal looks” or “perfect bodies”. Society is too fixated on that kind of stuff I think. A few may end up getting that “ideal” look, but then again, what is “ideal” anyway? And does “ideal” mean that anyone who does not fit in are worth less? Besides, “ideal” is not a constant in our society either. A few hundred years ago it was considered beautiful to be what we today call “obese” in some parts of the world.
In the end I think that it’s all about personality first and everything else comes after that, including looks.
So be nice before anything else!
Until next time.

Up’s and down’s: MissLopez’s Blog behind the scenes
Hi everyone, MisterLopez here!
As some may have noticed, this site might have been somewhat inaccessible for some people for a few hours earlier today. That would be my bad. I’m still familiarizing myself with a lot of things here and am also busy making changes which will improve this site as much as possible. For anyone who might be a more of a regular visitor to this site may have noticed that stuff are either added, removed or just move around a lot. That will probably continue to happen at regular intervals as I try out new things and test them out.
Do expect this site to continue evolving over time and hopefully, eventually grow into something remarkable.
Enjoy the rest of the day, everyone!

Get naked and join the bandwagon of nude marketing.
Hi there, MisterLopez here!
Here you see Real Madrid’s football player, Ronaldo almost naked for Armani!
So a couple of days ago there was a blog-entry about a Spanish politician who campaigned his cause with the help of nudity. Bold, but in essence hardly original these days, because if you think about it, there has been an increasing usage of nudity and sexual themes in our daily lives for the last 20 or so years. Certain type of magazines and music video’s are two examples of mediums that realize that “sex sells” and it’s being suggestively used to the point where you almost start to take it for granted.
Which brings us back to the campaign video. Analyzing the content itself I end up asking: what is the reason for these people to undress and go out there naked behind a politician? And more importantly, would the video have the same effect if there were only naked males?
I can’t help but to think that it is just a “soft” version of the same tactic that the other mediums mentioned earlier tend to use. Protest groups tend to use this tactic ever so often under the guise that it is all natural. My own reaction tend to be: what’s so special about it? Weren’t we all born in the nude? If it is so natural, why is there a need to express it when the topic of the demonstration is something entirely different?
We should learn from past cultures who truly saw nudity as something natural but did not see it as a means of exploiting in order to get attention.
