You know, there is a certain pet peeve that I have when it comes to “justice” and celebrities and that is the fact that famous people seem to be slightly above the law in the United States. Frankly I see this as the dark side of the American justice system rather than the fault of those that are famous.

In 2006, Nicole Richie was charged with DUI, and sentenced to a whole 4 days in jail. However in true spirit of justice the actual punishment was reduced to a mere couple of hours before being released on probation. And now only a day ago she supposedly finished her probation according to her lawyer.

Whether celebrities choose to abuse this to their advantage or not is their own choice, but wouldn’t you say that they have certain responsibilities as image icons towards those that look up to them? Aren’t they supposed to set examples on how to behave and how to not behave?

Well then – I used to watch the different CSI-shows in the past and I remember Eddie Cibrian being in CSI: Miami. If I remember correctly he was eventually “killed off” at a later point in the show.

But aside from that it seems that Eddie is supposedly engaged now to LeAnn Rimes whom he have been going out with for a while. Whilst they may look happy in the picture (getty images), I can’t help but be sceptic. Celebrities and marriage rarely seem to work out too well in the long run. Probably it has to do with the pressure that comes with fame or something.

So if you will marry in the future – make sure you do it right!

New year is approaching fast now that Christmas is over and done with for this year. The good thing about new year is in my opinion the fireworks. The atmosphere is special during a fireworks display during New Year’s eve and there is always something worthwhile seeing.

Of course there are a lot of dangers involved as well, specially if you use fireworks yourself. So if you are, take every precaution that is necessary and then some more in order to avoid an accident. And if you are just outside watching, keep an eye on your surroundings. And of course, try and only use the fireworks when the time is appropriate.

These few days sure have been hectic and busy, with Christmas and what not else. I hope that everyone have had a good time and had the opportunity to celebrate somehow.

Anyway, I read an article about Ricky Martin (to the left – picture by Getty Images) giving an interview about what would be the ideal traits for a partner. As most of you know, he came out this year with the information that he was homosexual on his Twitter account, which may have surprised quite a few.

I find it to be a good thing that homosexuality is becoming so accepted around the world. The reason for this is because I think that the majority of those that are homosexual tend to have a somewhat different view on the world, and tend to be very friendly people. I once had an English teacher who was gay and he also had this good and friendly nature over him – whilst being strict of course. Other members of my family have befriended or are friends with people who are gay, and in every case I have gotten to hear how good and kind they are.

Stay openminded whenever possible!

I’m gonna present the final person in this presentation: namely Selena Gomez (picture by Getty Images).

This young woman seems to do it all. Having been an actor/voice actor since the age of 10, she has now expanded into music and business. She has her own album, A year without rain, and also her own brand of clothes.

I wonder if there is any market competition at all between all the famous actors who have ventured into the fragrance or clothes industry.
